We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join an international technology environment focused on building scalable, cloud-native solutions.

You will work on digital products that support high-volume systems, designing and developing modern applications based on microservices, event-driven architecture, and data-driven decision processes.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack applications using modern engineering practices.
• Build and integrate event-driven microservices that support intelligent decision-making based on large volumes of data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance and reliable cloud-native solutions.
• Develop and optimize backend services, APIs, and integrations across distributed systems.
• Contribute to frontend development, creating efficient and user-friendly solutions.
• Ensure software scalability, resilience, maintainability, and performance.
• Apply best practices in automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Use modern engineering practices and AI tooling to improve productivity and software delivery.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid experience designing and developing microservice-based architectures.
• Good understanding of cloud-native software development principles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-based deployment models.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, resilience, and fault tolerance.
• Experience with REST APIs, asynchronous messaging, event-driven architecture, and streaming technologies.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Experience with caching technologies (Hazelcast or similar).
• Frontend development experience, preferably with Angular.
• Experience with automated testing practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, centralized logging solutions).
• Ability to analyze complex systems and improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Hands-on mindset combined with architectural thinking.
• Experience using AI tools as part of the development workflow.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Nice to have:

• Previous experience in logistics, e-commerce, or high-volume transactional platforms.
• Experience working in international and distributed teams.
• Knowledge of advanced cloud architecture patterns.

• Flexible hybrid work model in Lisbon.
• Candidates must reside in Portugal.
