We are looking for a motivated Solution Engineer who wants to grow into a combined role covering Product Ownership and software quality responsibility in a manufacturing IT environment.
In this role, you will gradually take ownership of manufacturing IT solutions, from understanding shop-floor requirements to ensuring reliable and high-quality operation across our plants worldwide.
Your contribution to something big:
Product Ownership
- Take ownership of selected manufacturing applications and support their continuous development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from production plants to understand, structure, and prioritize business requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear specifications and actionable backlog items.
- Coordinate implementation activities with development teams and validate delivered solutions against requirements.
- Support the rollout and adoption of solutions across international manufacturing environments.
- Drive continuous improvements based on operational insights and user feedback.
Test Strategy & Quality Excellence
- Contribute to developing and improving testing concepts and quality practices across the organization.
- Support the definition and implementation of group-wide testing standards.
- Increase test coverage for new and existing applications.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and software engineers to strengthen quality awareness and best practices.
- Support the expansion of automated testing approaches and modern quality engineering methods.
- Develop increasing responsibility for test strategy and quality initiatives at a global level.
What distinguishes you:
Education
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in requirements engineering, software testing, application support, or a related area.
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial IT, or production-related environments is an advantage.
Know-how
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Java).
- Understanding or strong interest in software development and application lifecycle management.
- Interest in analyzing complex software systems and business processes.
- Understanding of test automation principles and software quality practices is beneficial.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, microservices, APIs, or distributed systems is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for gradually taking ownership and driving continuous improvement.
Languages
- Good level of English - mandatory.
