Senior Manager eBike Systems (SL1) (f/m/div.)

Your contribution to something big:

At Bosch eBike Systems, we develop innovative products and services that make eBiking even more fascinating - from highly efficient drive systems over the first series-produced ABS for pedelecs to smart connectivity solutions. In the business unit DriveUnit, we develop the next generation of eBike drive units.

• You are responsible for the disciplinary leadership of Engineering Hardware and Sensor Systems of your employees and the technical leadership of cross-functional project teams in product development.
• You are responsible for hardware and sensor project planning and control, including the allocation, prioritization, and alignment of tasks within the project team to ensure on time, on track, on budget.
• You ensure the application of development and problem-solving methods (BES PE).

Including design to cost engineering to ensure competitiveness

• Furthermore, you establish and coach cross-domain "functional excellence areas" within the international ebike engineering team and act as interface between the EB headquarter and EB DU component domains (HW, Layout, ME, SW), foster collaboration and networking across technical, organizational and regional boundaries.
• The development of the the organization is another important part of your job. You act as process owner for engineering consult engineers, technical leads and product managers. You are responsible for the interface to the production plant including Plant process support (SMT, AOI, AXI, ICT, EoL) and prototype and sample builds
• Last but not least you benchmark technical PCBa production and technologies for multimarket ebike products, holistically and carry out cross-domain technology scouting activites.

What distinguishes you:

• Education: completed university studies in electrical/mechanical engineering, physics, maths or a comparable subject
• Experience and Knowledge: solid and demonstrated knowledge leadership and understanding of mechanical and hardware engineering, software engineering and digital technologies; several years of experience in project manager or technical/disciplinary manager of engineers; understanding and ability to navigate design/performance effects, the ability to read schematic diagrams, to organize HW/SW interface alignments, the basic understanding of hardware and sensor technologies and know-how within PCBa technology
• Personality and Working Practice: ability to think and plan strategically, structured and clear; demonstrated ability to work well with colleagues at all level; excellent written and spoken ability to communicate and abstract technically complex matters; strong "can do" mindset, pragmatism, curiosity for technical detail
• Languages: very good communication skills in written and spoken English
