Senior Backend Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer
to integrate/join a hibrid project in Lisbon.

Salary range: 54k – 55k annual gross.

Profile:
- 4+ years of professional backend engineering experience;
- Strong experience with NestJS, TypeScript, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL;
- Deep understanding of backend architecture, API design, and database modelling;
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines;
- Experience documenting and testing APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger and Postman;
- Microsoft Azure experience is a strong plus;
- Passion for clean, maintainable, well-tested software;
- Fluent English.

Responsibilities:
- Developing and extending our backend platform with NestJS and TypeScript;
- Building reliable REST APIs and WebSocket services;
- Designing scalable data models and translating complex planning requirements into robust database structures;
- Working with MongoDB and PostgreSQL;
- Taking ownership of deployment, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD on Microsoft Azure;
- Driving engineering quality through code reviews, testing, documentation, and architectural decisions;
- Collaborating closely with AI, frontend, product, and QA to build systems that people rely on for high-consequence planning decisions.
