Role Overview
We are looking for a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst / Security Engineer to join one of our Nearshore Teams working remotely for international clients accross The Netherlands, Germany and other European countries.
In this role, you will be responsible for protecting critical customer environments by monitoring, investigating, and responding to security threats and incidents. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of security services, help enhance detection and response capabilities, and support customers in maintaining secure and resilient IT environments across both cloud and on-premises infrastructures.
What you will do
- Monitor, analyse, investigate, and remediate security incidents through Security Operations Center processes and technologies;
- Manage and optimise security platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, log management, endpoint protection, and cloud security solutions;
- Develop and maintain security use cases, detection rules, playbooks, connectors, and automation processes to improve threat detection and response;
- Produce security advisories, incident reports, after-escalation reports, technical documentation, and operational procedures;
- Collaborate with customers, Information Security stakeholders, and internal teams to provide security guidance, risk assessments, and operational support.
What you are like
- Proficient in Microsoft security technologies, including Microsoft 365 Security, Azure Security, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Defender;
- Experienced in Security Operations Center environments, incident handling, threat monitoring, and SIEM administration;
- Skilled in log management platforms, antivirus solutions, and security event analysis;
- Good knowledge of Windows, Linux, networking fundamentals, and common protocols such as DNS, NTP, SMTP, HTTP, and HTTPS;
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills, with the ability to prepare security advisories and present findings to stakeholders;
- Security certifications such as SC-900, SC-200, SC-100, SC-300, SC-400, CISSP, CCSP, CEH, OSCP are valued;
- Have good communication skill in English - as you will collaborate daily with international teams.
