Retail Sector | Cyber Security Engineer

• Support and strengthen the security posture of Microsoft Azure environments (IaaS and PaaS).
• Assess existing cloud architectures, identify security risks, and recommend practical mitigation measures.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of secure cloud architectures, including network segmentation, access controls, and workload isolation.
• Collaborate closely with Cloud, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams to integrate security into cloud operations.
• Support Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives within Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Review authentication events, user access patterns, and identity-related security risks.
• Assist in the investigation and analysis of cloud and identity security incidents, leveraging available logs and telemetry.
• Work with internal teams and external SOC partners to improve detection capabilities and incident response processes.
• Identify cloud vulnerabilities, security misconfigurations, and hardening opportunities, helping prioritize remediation based on business and technical risk.
• Contribute to security automation through scripts, policies, and infrastructure templates.
• Promote Security-by-Design principles across cloud services and day-to-day operations.
• Support the adoption of cloud security best practices and continuously improve the organization's security posture.

• 2–5 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure roles with a strong focus on security.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Good understanding of: Cloud security principles and best practices, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Network security concepts.
• Experience implementing or supporting security controls such as MFA, Conditional Access, and RBAC.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess technical risks and recommend practical security improvements.
• Comfortable working in environments with a limited security tooling stack.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
