What is this challenge about
• Ensure the operational maintenance of network security infrastructures, with a strong focus on quality, productivity, and security.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot security and network-related issues, identifying the root causes of malfunctions and traffic flow blockages.
• Implement, manage, and maintain security policies and firewall rules.
• Create, modify, review, and optimize firewall security rules according to business and security requirements.
• Propose and implement improvements to existing security policies and processes.
• Define and apply best practices for security policy management.
• Provide technical expertise, support, advice, and guidance in the area of network security.
• Collaborate with experts from other technical domains, including Networking, Infrastructure, Systems, and Security.
• Ensure compliance with relevant IT security, quality, and operational standards.
• Manage operational activities such as requests, incidents, changes, and technical documentation.
• Ensure the required level of service quality in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Contribute to network segmentation and micro-segmentation initiatives.

What we are looking for
• 1 year of proven experience as a Network Security Engineer.
• Professional experience in Network Security / Network Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with firewall security rules and policies.
• Knowledge of Palo Alto and/or Fortinet firewalls.
• Knowledge or experience with network segmentation and micro-segmentation technologies.
• Experience with VMware NSX-T / VCF 9 is highly valued.
• Good understanding of network concepts, traffic flows, protocols, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience working in an IT production environment.
• Familiarity with IT operational processes, including incident, request, change management, and documentation.
• Ability to analyse problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with different technical teams.
• Strong awareness of IT security best practices and standards.
• Fluency in English (minimum B2).
