As a Mid-Level Application Support Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leader in IT solutions, dedicated to delivering robust, high-performing application environments. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring seamless operations, proactive incident management, and continuous process improvements to support the company’s dynamic digital landscape.
Your main responsibilities:
- Effectively manage and resolve production incidents to minimize downtime and impact
- Coordinate and follow-up on changes and technical operations, including scheduled shutdowns and server modes
- Contribute to change management processes across applications and infrastructure, collaborating with development, sysadmin, DBA, and networking teams
- Keep comprehensive documentation up to date, including application architecture, operational procedures, and supervision protocols
- Manage backup data and regularly test restore procedures to ensure data integrity
- Monitor applications and infrastructure efficiently within SLA frameworks for multiple business lines
- Control load capacity and performance metrics for applications
- Participate in on-call rotations and off-hours interventions to support 24/7 operations
- Continuously automate and optimize existing procedures to enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with development teams to define architecture standards for new applications, aligned with infrastructure policies
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in application support or related IT roles
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments and systems administration
- Experience with BMC/Control-M or other industrial schedulers
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or PowerShell
- Experience working with JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, or IIS
- Solid understanding of databases (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, or MySQL) and basic SQL skills
- Familiarity with infrastructure backups and restore testing
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix or Grafana
- Knowledge of LDAP, Firewall, Reverse Proxy, Active Directory, and Kerberos
- Basic understanding of container-based infrastructure and networking principles
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Certifications in relevant IT support or infrastructure areas
- Experience with cloud services or automation frameworks
Language Required for the role:
- Fluent English – both written and spoken
