Head of AI Center of Competence

As AI becomes central to competitiveness, productivity and service transformation, LBC is expanding its AI Center of Competence and integrating AI into our client offerings, ongoing projects, internal operations and product development.

Your role

• Own and continuously update LBC’s AI strategy, priorities, investment roadmap and operating model
• Build and scale a compelling portfolio of AI enablement services, solutions, accelerators, managed services and products
• Develop the AI pipeline with Partners, Business Development, Marketing and the Proposal Factory; lead strategic client conversations and shape major proposals
• Oversee flagship AI engagements, ensuring clear business outcomes, strong delivery, sound economics and high client satisfaction
• Lead LBC’s internal AI transformation across proposals, projects, knowledge management, finance, HR, marketing, reporting and resource allocation
• Establish practical governance for AI risk, privacy, cybersecurity, human oversight, quality, vendor management and incident response
• Create common methods, reference architectures, reusable assets and performance indicators across the AI portfolio
• Recruit, coach and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team and build an active community of AI champions across LBC
• Represent LBC externally with clients, partners, conferences and relevant market ecosystems

The Head of AI Center of Competence will lead the development of LBC’s AI capability as a commercially successful, operationally mature and trusted business area.
This is a broad leadership role combining AI strategy, business development, consulting, delivery, productisation, governance, organisational transformation and team leadership. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and work across Consulting, Digital, Talent Development and Product Development. Your mission is to scale client-facing AI services, generate measurable revenue and client impact, and accelerate LBC’s own transition into an AI-powered professional-services company.

What we look for

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Industrial Engineering and Management, or similar field
• Master's degree in Information Systems or Artificial Intelligence is an advantage
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in projects with an AI, Data, or Digital Transformation component
• Proven experience in business development or strategic consulting
• Proven experience in leading and managing teams with technical profiles
• Strong commercial, financial and delivery-management judgement
• Ability to identify business opportunities and structure differentiated value propositions
• Experience in preparing commercial proposals and business cases
• Track record in client development, proposal shaping, revenue growth and complex programme delivery
• Strong ability to articulate between technical teams and business decision-makers
• Strong understanding of AI/Machine Learning solutions, GenAI, LLMs,AI agents, automation, data platforms and enterprise technology
• Strong experience with Agent orchestration and execution loops, Single-agent and multi-agent design patterns
• Good knowledge of context, state, session and memory management
• Good knowledge of AI costs and pricing
• Proven ability to translate AI into business value, operating-model change and measurable outcomes
• Familiarity with AI governance, privacy, cybersecurity and the EU regulatory environment
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams covering strategy, solution development and delivery
• Strategic but execution-oriented; collaborative, accountable and selective about where AI creates genuine value
• Excellent command of English
• Proficiency in Portuguese and/or German (highly valued)
• Experience in consulting, public sector, telecommunications, energy, financial services, development institutions or international markets is an advantage
• Experience working for a hyper-scaler is an advantage
• Proven experience deploying solutions on Azure infrastructure, including familiarity with Azure AI Services (Azure OpenAI, MS Foundry, Azure AI Search) and the broader Azure ecosystem is an advantage
