Frontend Software Engineer (React)

IT House is looking for a Frontend Software Engineer (React) for a direct placement with an end client in the IT / Telecommunications & Communications Engineering sector, located in Aveiro.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop reusable and performant React components using external UI libraries as a foundation;
• Actively contribute to frontend architecture decisions and technology choices;
• Implement new features as the product evolves;
• Help maintain code quality through thoughtful design patterns, automated testing, code reviews and incremental refactoring;
• Improve and scale frontend performance, including interfaces that handle real-time, data-intensive streams.

Requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field;
• 3+ years of professional experience with React and TypeScript;
• Solid foundation in software engineering, algorithms and design practices, including incremental refactoring;
• Experience with Redux or similar state management tools;
• Familiarity with REST APIs and OpenAPI;
• Good knowledge of CSS/SCSS modules;
• Strong commitment to writing readable, structured and maintainable code;
• Excellent communication skills and a team-player mindset.
• Valued (not mandatory): knowledge of RTK Query and E2E testing.
