Embedded Software Developer for Radar (f/m/div.)

At Bosch Braga, we are developing embedded software for future generations of radar technology. Join our local team and collaborate closely with colleagues in Germany to bring advanced Radar Signal Processing (RSP) algorithms into efficient, real-time execution on DSP hardware.

As an Embedded Software Developer, you will work at the intersection of embedded software, signal processing and hardware optimization, helping transform complex algorithms into robust and efficient software solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain C/C++ implementations of Radar Signal Processing algorithms, optimized for DSP execution.
• Optimize RSP software for performance, resource efficiency and real-time execution.
• Collaborate with algorithm developers to transform MATLAB-based algorithms into efficient DSP implementations.
• Write clean, maintainable and testable embedded software in line with relevant coding standards and development guidelines.
• Work closely with hardware engineers, algorithm developers and software architects to develop integrated solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to high software quality and engineering best practices.
• Document software concepts and provide technical input to software architecture decisions.

What distinguishes you:

Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.

Experience

• Around 3 years or more of relevant experience in embedded software development.
• Practical experience developing and debugging software for embedded systems.
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).

Experience in automotive embedded software development is an advantage.

Know-how

• Strong programming skills in C/C++.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with software development, build, analysis or debugging tools such as CMake, QAC/Helix and Lauterbach is valuable.
• Knowledge of assembly language is an advantage.
• Experience with Radar Signal Processing, DSP architecture or DSP software optimization is an advantage.
• Experience translating MATLAB algorithms into optimized DSP implementations is particularly valuable.
• Knowledge of DSP platforms, including Synopsys DSP, is an advantage.

Languages

• Good command of English, enabling you to collaborate effectively within an international engineering environment.
